Create your own data set (below)
Start by making a copy of this document, where you will write your survey questions.
Your survey needs to explore a possible correlation between two different things that are both measurable.
For example, time spent watching TV per day and level of happiness (1-10). Or something like time spent on homework each night and intention of going to college (1-5). Avoid questions that are too personal (even something like GPA) even though they will be anonymous.
Your survey should only have two questions!
You will need to survey 15 people. Write your survey and print 15 copies (5 per page, ideally).
All surveys must contain the following text:
This survey is being conducted for use in the AP Psychology class. It is entirely voluntary and anonymous and information will not be used for any purpose outside of the classroom.
Find a classroom or two in which to distribute your surveys.
I've posted an example above of what your survey sheet might look like above.
Some Reminders!
If you are using a scale, indicate what the scale means (don't assume they'll know).
If you are examining behavior, make clear that you mean "on a typical day" or "in a typical week".
